Lot 1236 Lotta Crabtree
Broadway star (1847–1924), Crabtree spent much of her youth dancing on stage for miners in the California Gold Rush. A great fan of actress Lola Montez, she eventually became Montez' protegee. Vintage 3 x 2 calling card imprinted “Miss Lotta, 128 West 59th Street,” signed in fountain pen on the reverse, “Lotta–1908.” In fine condition, with two trivial adhesive remnants on the left corners.
